Loving eyes, not judging | Weekly Yoga Class Focus

Reflecting this week – where do I tend to be most judgemental – is it towards self or others. Is it about actions and behaviours, or possessions. Can I be kind, open to having ‘loving eyes’ rather than judgemental ones.

We’ve reached the last chapter of the Untethered Soul 'The Loving Eyes of God’

‘Spiritual growth can be experienced just like anything else. You may have experienced a time in your life when you felt a lot of negativity, anger and resentment. You know how that feels, and you know how you feel toward others when you’re feeling that way. If you grow past that part of you, over time you will actually drift away from the feelings of tension and anxiety. You will drift upward – further back inside yourself … ‘

Into your true nature as Patanjali would describe it – the ultimate aim of yoga – to realise your true nature and abide in it.

‘You find there’s more of a distance between you and the thoughts and emotions inside of you.’ When you look at the world judgement ceases and you see the beauty in everything and everyone – ‘the loving eyes of god’.

So this week, not judging – self or others, rather opening to the possibility of beauty in everything, experiencing love.

Our Yoga Self enquiry – where do I tend to be most judgemental – is it towards self or others. Is it about actions and behaviours, or possessions. Can I be kind, open to having ‘loving eyes’ rather than judgemental ones.
