Love your edges | Weekly Yoga Class Focus

Last week we our weekly classical yoga focus was around the boundaries we place on ourselves in our mind – the walls we put up that block out light and life opportunities.

This week continuing in this theme in Chapter 13 ‘Far Far Beyond’, The Untethered Soul.

‘There are two ways you can live: you can devote your life to staying in your comfort zone or you can work on freeing yourself from the limits of your mind. In its most basic sense, going beyond means going past where you are. It means not staying in your current state. When you constantly go beyond yourself, there are no more limitations.

We feel sorry for a tiger in a cage but we can be caged by the resistance from our psyche (our mind).

There should be no cage. The soul is infinite. It is free to expand everywhere and can if you are willing to face reality without mental boundaries.

If you are willing to stand at the edge and keep walking you will go beyond. You end up loving your edges because they point your way to freedom.’

Reflecting this week ‘What thought is caging me in, in my life at the moment? Where am I putting up resistance up in my mind? And resolving in the week ahead to be aware of this resistance and perhaps facing what has been stopping you mentally, to be without that boundary, that wall.

And remember to ‘love your edges, because they point your way to freedom’.
